MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Saint Anselm College out-scored the University of New England by a 3-0 margin in the middle period, helping secure a 6-4 ECAC East League victory Saturday afternoon at Sullivan Arena.
Alex Pascal and Kevin Vanous scored two goals apiece for the Hawks (6-3-3, 3-3-2 ECAC East). Tim King and Mike Richard each notched a pair of assists in support.
For UNE (3-8-2, 1-7-0 ECAC East), senior

First-year
Chris Glover gave the visitors a 1-0 edge after one, with a score in the waning minutes of the opening period. The Nor'easters out-shot their opponents, 10-5, in the first 20 minutes.
King and Richard connected with Pascal twice in the initial 5:33 of the second, before Vanous made it 3-1 midway through the stanza. On the other end of the ice, St. A's netminder Nick Dries posted half (14) of his 28 saves in the contest to keep UNE off the board in the frame.
The teams traded scores in the first 8:41 of the third period, and Vanous scored what would be the game-winner 15 seconds later to make it 5-2. The difference reached four (6-2) prior to Lokey's goal, and that was followed by the first of the season for sophomore
John Tuell (Orono, Maine).
UNE sophomore goalie
Ian Edwards (Linden, Mich.) made 25 stops in defeat for Big Blue, which returns home to face Skidmore College and nationally-ranked Castleton State College on Friday and Saturday.
Saint Anselm hosts Babson College and UMass Boston next weekend.
