SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Sophomore forward Tony Giacin found the back of the net with 7:41 left to give Skidmore College a 3-2 ECAC East League victory over the University of New England men's ice hockey team, in a game played Saturday evening at Saratoga Ice Rink.
The Thoroughbreds even their record at 1-1 with the decision, while Big Blue now sits at 0-2.
Skidmore's David Limoges got the hosts off to a quick start, pocketing two scores in the opening 1:56 of the first period. Zach Menard recorded the primary assist on both goals.
