BRISTOL, R.I. -- The Roger Williams University Hawks received four-goal performances from senior Kasey Beckwith (Franklin, Conn.) and junior Claire Halliday (Trenton, N.J.) in an 11-5 The Commonwealth Coast Conference women's lacrosse victory over the University of New England Nor'easters Saturday afternoon.
With its seventh consecutive victory, RWU (9-3) moves into second place with a 7-1 mark in conference play. UNE drops to 9-3 on the season, and stands at 7-2 in TCCC games.
Senior Jessie Alden (Cataumet, Mass.) chipped in with one goal and three assists for the Hawks, and classmate Amanda Magee (Columbus, N.J.) registered six saves between the pipes.

Tara Geraghty (Barrington, R.I.) was credited with 13 saves.
After falling behind 2-0, a free position goal by Cole tied the game at 2-all midway through the first frame. Roger Williams would respond with the final four goals of the period -- the last three from Beckwith -- to lead 6-2 at intermission.
Cole scored with 12:33 left to play, cutting the deficit to 8-5, but the Hawks added three more late to win going away.
Roger Williams, which had a 34-13 advantage in shots for the game, entertains Emerson College Monday in a non-conference match.
UNE hosts non-conference foe Bates College the same day at Barbara J. Hazard Field. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
