Danielle Cate (Boscawen, N.H.) finished with a career-best five goals and had a pair of assists as the University of New England cruised to a 16-3 The Commonwealth Coast Conference win over Colby-Sawyer College in women's lacrosse action from the campus of Southern New Hampshire University Tuesday evening in the rain.
For the second straight outing, the Nor'easters (3-1, 2-0 TCCC) won by a 13-goal margin. The Chargers drop to 2-4 overall with the loss (1-1 TCCC).

Kim Bilodeau (Durham, Maine) and first-year
Cara Cole (Norwood, Mass.) added three scores apiece, and sophomore
Jenna Barton (Wolfeboro, N.H.) chipped in with two goals.
Junior
Tara Geraghty (Barrington, R.I.) and first-year
Jillian Aslin (Hampton, N.H.) each saw 30 minutes of action in goal for UNE, combining for three saves.
Colby-Sawyer received two of its three markers from first-year Laurel Bauer (Bradford, N.H.). Classmate Ekta Sampson (Hyde Park, Vt.) recorded nine saves.
Cate and Cole put Big Blue in front right from the start, notching goals 30 and 52 seconds into the contest. After the opening 17 minutes, the Nor'easters led, 8-0.
The cushion was still eight (10-2) at the break, and the second half was never in question. For the game, UNE out-shot the Chargers, 37-9.
Both teams hit the road for 1 p.m. conference matches Saturday, as the Nor'easters visit New England College and Colby-Sawyer travels to Western New England College.
