WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The University of New England men's cross country team concluded its 2010 season Saturday, finishing 32nd out of 49 teams at the NCAA Division III Regional Championship hosted by Williams College.
MIT -- the only team to finish with less than 100 points -- took home the team championship, while junior Michael Schmidt of Middlebury College was the top indvidual. Schmidt circled the eight-kilometer loop in a time of 25:40.
First-year
Brandon Mulligan (Westfield, Mass.) was the first Nor'easter to cross the finish line, recording a time of 28:53. Classmate Daniel Raboin (Lunenberg, Mass.) and junior
Jonathan Dupuis (Groveton, N.H.) also broke the 30-minute barrier. Raboin clocked a 29:03 and Dupuis a 29:46.
Also scoring for Big Blue were junior
Bosco Oringa (Portland, Maine) and first-year Nathan DiMartino (Hilton, N.Y.).
