Nor'easters tie for third at Colby College Scramble

WATERVILLE, Maine -- The University of New England golf team recorded a 10-under-par round of 60 to finish in a three-way tie for third at the Colby College Scramble Saturday, held at Waterville Country Club.

Colby College "Blue" won the event, firing a 56 in the five-man scramble format. Colby College "White" took second at 11-under, while the UNE, UMaine Presque Isle, and Maine Maritime Academy all posted a score of 60. UMaine Farmington rounded out the field with a round of 61.

Playing for the Nor'easters were senior Nathan Fairfield (Bath, Maine), juniors Griffin Andrews (Rye, N.H.), Steve Dillon (Sanford, Maine), and Adrian Mendes (Seymour, Conn.), and sophomore Gage Robertson (Freeport, Maine).

UNE is at Sunday River Golf Club for the UMaine Farmington Invitational Thursday.
