WATERVILLE, Maine -- Led by a one-two finish by Colman Hatton and Thompson Ogilvie, Bowdoin College won the 2009 Maine State Meet by five points, topping the University of Southern Maine in a tightly contested event.
The University of New England Nor'easters placed fifth out of eight entries with a team score of 179.
Junior
Matt Veiga was the first UNE runner to cross the line, finishing 23rd with a time of 28:05 over the eight-kilometer loop.

Bosco Oringa finished consecutively in 65th to 67th places, respectively.
UNE has a week off before competing in the TCCC Championship on Oct. 31. Western New England College will be hosting the meet that starts at 1 p.m.
