FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The University of New England women's swim placed 12th out of 16 teams at the highly-competitive Bob Mowerson Sprint held Tuesday at the Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

First-year Lizzie Wareham won the 50-yard freestyle among NCAA Divison II, III and NAIA teams, recording a team of 28.99.  

Senior Ali Wagner and first-year Sara Shea each recorded Top 10 performances in their respective event.  Wagner was eighth in the 50-yard butterfly (33.16), and Shea was ninth in the 50-yard breaststroke (38.44).

The Nor'easters fly home Friday and will take to the pool for competition the next day when they head to Norwich University for a tri-meet with the Cadets and Bates College.
