Seniors shine as Nor'easters swim past Colby-Sawyer

Ali Wagner offered another strong performance with a pair of solo wins and one relay victory
NEW LONDON, N.H. -- Seniors Ali Wagner (Monrovia, Calif.) and Erica Johnson (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) each earned a pair of individual victories and swam a leg in a winning relay effort as the University of New England improved to 8-3 with a 176-93 victory over the Colby-Sawyer College Chargers on Saturday afternoon.

Wagner took home first-place honors in the 50-yard butterfly (28.86) and 100-yard butterfly (1:03.65), while Johnson finished first in the 100-yard freestyle (58.74) and 200-yard freestyle (2:07.73).  The duo teamed with first-year Sara Shea (Peabody, Mass.) and classmate Meghan Walsh (Windsor, Conn.) to best the field in the 200-yard medley relay.

Shea, junior Alison Leopard (Blommington, Ill.), and first-years Alyssa Russell (Paso Robles, Calif.) and Lindsay Baldini (Hyannis, Mass.) each took home one individual win.

The Nor'easters will head to Worcester, Mass. next Saturday for a road meet with Assumption College.
