BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England Nor'easters scored nine consecutive goals in the second half to rally from a 10-7 deficit on their way to a 16-13 non-conference women's lacrosse victory over the University of Southern Maine Huskies on Thursday afternoon.

The win improves the Nor'easters' season record to 6-10, while Southern Maine drops just its second game in its last six starts to fall to 6-8.

Finding themselves down 10-7 early in the second frame, the Nor'easters would reel off nine straight scores--including four free-position goals in a row--to take a 16-10 advantage with just over 10 minutes to play.  Southern Maine would find the net three more times, but could get no closer than three (16-13).

Sam Robinson '18 (Loudon, N.H.), Ashley MacDonald '08 (Billerica, Mass.), Kate McCarter '11 (Bellingham, Mass.), Kaitlyn Hall '09 (West Lebanon, N.H.) and Amanda Barker '09 (Gloucester, Mass.) each had three goals for UNE.  Starting goalie Jackie Price '10 (Billerica, Mass.) registered five saves in 37:01 of playing time, and Tara Geraghty '11 (Barrington, R.I.) came on to stop five shots to get credit for the win.

Jessica Knight '10 (Alfred, Maine) scored eight goals to tie Jen Young's school single-game record.  Kristy Kendrick '11 (Waterboro, Maine) chipped in with three goals, while goalie Katie Quartuccio '08 (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) made nine saves.

UNE concludes its regular season Saturday with a home match versus Nichols College (1:00 p.m.).  The Huskies host Keene State College for their regular-season finale that same afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
