Sam Robinson scored a season-high three goals in the Nor'easters' 18-7 loss at Gordon

WENHAM, Mass. -- The Gordon College women's lacrosse team tallied 14 consecutive goals in the first half on its way to an 18-7 The Commonwealth Coast Conference win over the University of New England Nor'easters Thursday evening under the lights.
The victory was the fifth in the last six starts for the Fighting Scots (8-4), who improve to 4-2 in conference play. The Nor'easters saw their two-game winning streak come to a close. They stand at 4-8 overall, 2-4 in TCCC games.
After two goals by Sam Robinson and one by Carlie Brigham had given UNE a quick 3-1 advantage, Gordon went on a tear, scoring 14 consecutive times to establish a 15-3 lead. UNE's Ashley MacDonald would get the visitors back into the scoring column, but the Nor'easters found themselves down 15-4 at the break.
Gordon opened the scoring in the second half, and the two teams would exchange goals the rest of the way.
Mary Snell finished with a game-high five goals for the winners, while Dani Zorn added four. Amber Whalen contributed three goals and two assists.
Robinson notched a season-high three goals to pace UNE. MacDonald chipped in with four total points on two goals and a pair of assists. Starting goalie Jackie Price had three saves in 48:35 of playing time.
The Nor'easters will play host to Endicott College on Saturday. Game time is slated for 3:30 p.m. in Biddeford.
