BRISTOL, R.I. -- The Williams College men's cross country team mirrored the performance of its women's team to give the Ephs a sweep of the 2008 ECAC Division III Championship.
The Ephs utilized solid balance to place six runners in the Top 20, including three consecutive spots at 13th, 14th and 15th.
UNE placed 22nd out of 48 full teams, totaling a score of 634. Keene State College (100) and Middlebury College (144) finished second and third, respectively.
Nor'easter sophomore Matt Veiga was the first The Commonwealth Coast Conference runner to cross the finish line, recording a time of 27:21 over the eight-kilometer course to place 22nd.
Josh Grenier (139th) and Bosco Oringa (143rd) also had strong performances for the Nor'easters, who wrap up their season next Saturday (Nov. 15) at the NCAA Division III Regional.
