BRISTOL, R.I. -- The Rivier College River Raiders ended their day on the winning side of the ledger, getting by the University of New England, 3-0, in the final match of the afternoon at the Roger Williams University Invitational.  Game scores were 30-20, 30-21, 30-26.

UNE's Ellen Choinski '10 (Saunderstown, R.I.) capped a solid tournament by coming up with 12 assists, six digs and a pair of services aces.  She was selected to the all-tournament team.

Alex Toregas '08 (Chevy Chase, Md.) had 14 kills and six blocks for the Big Blue, while Claire Varner '10 (Breckenridge, Mich.) added eight kills and three blocks.

The Nor'easters (0-6) will be seeking their first win of the season when they host Bowdoin College for their home-opener Wednesday evening at the Campus Center.  Start time is 6:30 p.m.
