Nor'easters Continue to Roll in Conference Play

UNE improves to 3-0 in TCCC with win over Wentworth

BOSTON -- Reigning The Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week Alex Toregas '08 (Chevy Chase, Md.) had match highs of 15 kills and seven blocks to lead the University of New England to a 30-19, 30-19, 30-24 win over Wentworth Institute of Technology Wednesday evening at Tansey Gymnasium.

The Nor'easters remain perfect in conference play at 3-0, while upping their overall record to 4-8.  The Leopards slip to 3-9 overall, 0-3 in league matches.

Claire Varner '10 (Breckenridge, Mich.) supported in the win with six kills and five blocks, while setter Alissa Ehmke '08 (Baileys Harbor, Wisc.) dished out 26 assists.

UNE will be tested in conference play Saturday when it heads to Springfield, Mass. for a tri-match with Gordon College and host Western New England College.
