Volleyball Team Runs Win Streak to Three

UNE dispatches of St. Joe's quickly

STANDISH, Maine --  The University of New England volleyball team made quick work of Saint Joseph's College Thursday evening at the Harold Alfond Center, taking a 30-8, 10-15, 30-11 victory.  The win was the third straight for the Nor'easters.

Angie Gust '11 (Manitowoc, Wisc.) led the way for the Nor'easters with a career-best nine kills.  Alex Toregas '08 (Chevy Chase, Md.) supported with eight kills and nine blocks.  Claire Varner '10 (Breckenridge, Mich.) was strong at the service lines, racking up five aces.

UNE has the weekend off before traveling to Colby College for a non-conference match Monday at 6:00 p.m.
