Husson Eagles Fly to State Championship

Shawn Pabst '09 posted a two-day total of 175 to pace UNE

UNE ninth out of 11 teams

VASSALBORO, Maine -- The Husson College Eagles separated themselves from the field in the final round of the two-day Maine Intercollegiate Championship held at Natanis Golf Course.

Tied for the lead with Saint Joseph's College (316) after day one, the Eagles posted a final-round score of 311 to capture the state title, 18 shots clear of the second-place Monks.

Ryan Blossom of Bowdoin College came away as the medalist after recording a two-day total of 151.  Adam Duplisea and Josh Gallagher finished second and third, respectively, for Husson.

Shawn Pabst '09 (Franklin, N.H.) was the top UNE player, shooting an aggregate score of 175 (89-86).
