SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- The Commonwealth Coast Conference rival Colby-Sawyer College improved to 2-0 on the young season with a 3-0 victory (30-25, 30-19, 30-23) over the University of New England in a non-league match at the Springfield College Invitational Saturday morning.

The Nor'easters (0-2) were paced by outside hitter Claire Varner '10 (Brenckenridge, Mich.), who had a team-high 11 kills and added a pair of blocks.  Alex Toregas '08 (Chevy Chase, Md.) contributed nine kills and six blocks.

Setter Alissa Ehmke '08 (Baileys Harbor, Wisc.) was the catalyst of the offense with 29 assists.
