BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England Nor'easters remained unbeaten with victories over Husson College and Wheelock College in college women's swimming action Saturday afternoon at the Campus Center.
UNE defeated Wheelock by the score of 59-35 and had its way with Husson, posting a lopsided 84-11 win. The Nor'easters now stand at 4-0 in head-to-head competition.
#Alison Leopard# '10 (Bloomington, Ill.) earned a pair of individual victories for UNE, taking the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 19:49.62 and capturing the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:08.23.
#Erica Johnson# '09 (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) won the 500-yard freestyle (5:46.22) and swam the third leg of the winning 200-yard medley relay.
#Ali Wagner# '09 (Monrovia, Calif.) #Lyndsey Fish# '08 (Durham, Maine) and #Devan Gilman# '11 (Rochester, N.H.) claimed individual victories to grab nine points apiece for the Nor'easters.
UNE will put its unbeaten record to the test on Tuesday, heading to Colby College for a meet starting at 6:45 p.m.
