William (Bill) Sutton '55 was a graduate of both St. Francis High School and St. Francis College (SFC).  He was director of athletics and head baseball and soccer coach at SFC during the late 1950's and early-1960's.

Sutton also served as chairperson of the natural science and mathematics department, and he also held other positions on-campus including dean of men, business manager, bookstore manager and maintenance director.  Sutton, inducted posthumously, is credited with having built many of the playing field used at that time.
