CLERMONT, Fla. -- Sydnee Bessler pitched the University of New England to victory for a fifth time in six outings, as the Nor'easters shutout Lakeland College (Wisc.) by a 1-0 tally in softball action at Dot Richardson Spring Games hosted by the U.S. National Training Center.

The Nor'easters (5-4) won their fourth in-a-row without allowing a runner past second base. Bessler conceded seven hits and no walks while striking out five to get her fifth positive decision.
