SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- In what has seemingly become a regular occurance, the University of New England will square off against No. 8 Wentworth Institute of Technology as the top-seeded Nor'easters take to the court Tuesday (7 p.m.) in the quarterfinals of the 2015 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Women's Basketball Championship.

It will be the third consecutive season that UNE and Wentworth meet in the No.1/No.8 match-up of the postseason tournament. The previous two have both gone to the team from Biddeford, 62-32 (2013) and 58-43 (2014).
The two-time reigning league champions, UNE just finished with at least a share of the regular-season title (16-2 CCC) for the sixth time in seven years. The Nor'easters enter Tuesday's contest against the Leopards (5-13) on a string of 14 straight victories over WIT, dating back to the 2007-08 campaign, including results of 70-48 and 60-42 in the last seven weeks.
Other quarterfinal-round games showcase second-seeded Roger Williams (16-2) versus No. 7 Endicott (7-11), No. 3 Curry (12-6) hosting sixth-seeded Salve Regina (9-9), and Western New England (11-7) taking on Eastern Nazarene (10-8) in the No.4/No.5 match.
The semifinals will follow on Thursday and the CCC crown, accompanied by an automatic bid into the NCAA Championship, will be decided on Saturday (Feb. 28).
