Plymouth State brings UNE streak to an end with sweep

PLYMOUTH, N.H. -- Plymouth State University defeated the University of New England for the second time this season, 3-0, in a non-conference women's volleyball match played Saturday afternoon at Foley Gymnasium. The set scores were 25-15, 25-20, and 25-15.

The win moves the Panthers to 19-9 overall on the year, while the Nor'easters slip back to 14-12 as their seven-game win streak comes to an end.

Junior Paige Curran (Chelmsford, Mass.) registered seven kills for UNE, and sophomore setter Maria Kuehl (Middleton, N.H.) had 17 assists to go with 14 digs. Junior Jackie Stone (Saginaw, Mich.) recorded a match-high 17 digs, and classmate Kirsta Adie (Tyngsboro, Mass.) notched an additional 14 digs. Sophomore Angie Brunette (North Andover, Mass.) was credited with two solo blocks.
