BIDDEFORD, Maine -- University of New England head field hockey coach Jane Hurt announced this morning the Nor'easters' roster and team captains for the 2010 season. 

UNE returns 12 players from last season's squad that posted a school-record 16 victories en route to winning the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England championship. Co-captains Michaela Franey (York, Maine) and Ayla Nelson (Auburn, Mass.) head a list of four returning all-conference players.

The Nor'easters open the season on their new synthetic turf field Sept. 1 when they play host to the University of Southern Maine at 4 p.m.
