A full field of faculty, staff, alumni, friends and supporters of UNE Athletics participated in the 2010 Vaughn Twaddel Classic under beautiful weather conditions Friday, June 11 at Nonesuch River Golf Club in Scarborough. The event -- named in honor of longtime Westbrook College professor and UNE golf coach Vaughn Twaddel -- serves as the Nor'easters' primary fundraiser.

The event featured 29 groups of golfers, who enjoyed the fabulous playing conditions at Nonesuch River. Golf was followed by a BBQ and numerous raffle drawings for prizes.

The foursome of Scott Lemelin, Chris King, Roland Duquette and Matt Brooks posted a score of 17-under, including an extremely rare double eagle, to finish with the lowest gross score. 

The UNE Athletics Department would like to thank all of those individuals who came out in memory of Vaughn Twaddel to support the department's endeavors.
