BIDDEFORD, Maine -- For the second time in as many weeks, University of New England first-year Tyler Thomas has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Rookie of the Week for the period ending March 14. TCCC Sports Information Coordinator Matt Pettinicchi made the announcement this afternoon.

Thomas totaled seven goals and a pair of assists during the week, as the Nor'easters posted a 1-1 record. In an 18-3 setback at Bates, he notched two goals and dished out the other UNE score. The attacker tallied five markers against Southern Maine, leading Big Blue to a 13-10 road win.

The Pleasantville, N.Y. native was previously selected Rookie of the Week in the conference's first release of award winners.
