Kelley Paradis and first-year
Beth Suggs have been recognized by the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) in the release of its postseason awards this morning. Paradis was chosen second team all-state, while Suggs was selected to the all-rookie team.
Paradis, a guard from Newport, Maine, led the Nor'easters in scoring (13.0 ppg), steals (51), field goal percentage (47.1) and three-point percentage (43.0). She also averaged 4.5 rebounds per game and made 49 three-pointers. Paradis was a first team all-The Commonwealth Coast Conference selection. She averaged 15.0 points during the TCCC Championship, including a game-high 19 in the title game.
Suggs, a forward from Bath, Maine, averaged 4.9 points and 5.3 boards for the Nor'easters. She led the team with 62 offensive rebounds and was third in field goal percentage at 42.7 percent. Suggs scored a season-high 16 points versus Eastern Nazarene College and collared a season-best 11 rebounds versus Colby College.

Anthony Ewing, UNE posted a school-record 23 wins en route to its first conference championship since 2001. The Nor'easters lost to Western Connecticut State University in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Championship.
