With a record of 15-4, Anthony Ewing and the women's basketball team is regionally ranked for the first time
INDIANAPOLIS -- The University of New England women's basketball team is ranked 10th in the Northeast Region by the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Committee, in the this afternoon's first release of regional rankings including games through January 31.
The NCAA regional committees rank the top six teams from eight geographic regions, with the exception of the Northeast, which ranks 10 out of the 81 teams in the region.
After winning 10 of their last 11 contests, the Nor'easters currently hold a 15-4 overall mark. At 6-1 in TCCC play, UNE sits in a four-way tie atop the league standings, alongside Endicott College, Salve Regina University, and Regis College.
This is the first time in program history that Big Blue has been ranked in the region.
