BIDDEFORD, Maine -- University of New England cross country runners
Jess Partlow (Hopkinton, N.H.) and
Kim Martins (Newburyport, Mass.) have been chosen The Commonwealth Coast Conference Runner and Rookie of the Week, respectively, for the period ending Sept. 27. TCCC Sports Information Coordinator Matt Pettinicchi released the announcement this afternoon.
Partlow erased her own course record at the Elms College Blazers Invitational, posting a five-kilometer time of 19:42 to improve on the mark she set one year ago. Partlow led the Nor'easters to the invitational title as UNE recorded a team score of 19.
Martins placed third among 83 finishers with a time of 20:16. Her time of 20:16 was a career best.
