University of New England rising junior Lyndie Libby and deposited first-year student Michelle Williams recently worked at the Junior NBA-Junior WNBA Pledge to be a STAR summer camp, co-hosted by the Maine Red Claws of the NBA Developmental League and the Portland Recreation Department.

The July 28 all-day event for ages 8-13 was designed to teach basketball fundamentals while emphasizing the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, attitude and respect (STAR). It was staffed by former NBA and WNBA players, who provided instruction with the assistance of the Red Claws' staff.
