Michael Pennacchio played an integral role in the Nor'easters grabbing their first-ever postseason bid
BIDDEFORD, Maine -- University of New England men's lacrosse player Michael Pennacchio has been chosen The Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for the period ending April 26. TCCC Publicity Coordinator Matt Pettinicchi made the announcement this afternoon.
Pennacchio, a first-year midfielder from Peabody, Mass., scored six goals and added two assists in three games for the Nor'easters. He had three goals and one assist Saturday at Nichols, as UNE earned its first-ever TCCC Tournament berth with a 13-8 victory.
The Nor'easters will take on nationally-ranked Western New England College -- the top seed -- Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
