Three players voted NECHA all-stars

Sophomore Jack Nolin and two of his teammates were selected NECHA all-stars
BIDDEFORD, Maine -- University of New England ice hockey players Jack Nolin, Tim Margiotta and Channing Tobey were chosen Northeast Collegiate Hockey Association all-stars in voting done by the league's coaches.

Nolin, a sophomore forward from Somersworth, N.H., led the Nor'easters in goals scored (18) and total points (25).  He had a team-high five power-play goals and two short-handed goals.  Nolin had a four-goal game versus the Northeastern University club team, and also posted two other hat-tricks.

Margiotta, a first-year defenseman from Randolph, N.J., started all 19 games, registering five goals and 12 assists to rank him tied for fourth on the team with 17 points.  Margiotta's hard-hitting style helped anchor a back line that allowed 3.71 goals per game

Tobey, a first-year forward from Eliot, Maine, notched eight goals and 13 assists -- good for 21 points to place him third on the team in that category.  He scored three power-play goals and a pair of game-winning goals.

Led by head coach Brad Holt, the Nor'easters posted a 14-4-1 record after going just 3-11-2 the previous season.  UNE was recently accepted into the ECAC East and will commence league play next season.
