WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The unbeaten Williams College men's ice hockey team received goals from six different players on its way to a 6-1 victory over the University of New England in an ECAC East crossover game Friday night.

Brian Malcoff gave Williams a 1-0 lead with an unassisted power-play goal at 4:10 of the first period.

The Nor'easters evened things up at the 13:31 mark when junior Jack Nolin and first-year Scott McManaman set-up sophomore Ted Fabian for his first goal of the season.

The Ephs would grab the lead for good at 18:27 of the first when Matt Masucci notched a short-handed goal to put Williams up 2-1.

The hosts pulled away in the second frame with three goals in the opening 5:40. Conor Olvany, Alex Smigelski and Evan Dugdale did the honors, with Smigelski's score coming on the power play.

Ben Contini would tack on a third-period score for the Ephs (4-0-1), who led in shots on goal, 31-13.

Marc Pulde had 12 saves to record the victory in goal. Junior Mike Roper turned away 25 shots for UNE.

The Nor'easters (0-6) return to the ice tomorrow afternoon when they take on No. 8 Middlebury College at 4 p.m. in Middlebury, Vt.
