Adding yet another award to highlight her record-setting season, Taryn Flagg was named an ECAC New England All-Star Monday
BIDDEFORD, Maine -- After setting nearly every single-season and career mark in 2009, University of New England senior field hockey player
Taryn Flagg has been selected an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Region first team all-star.
Last week, Flagg was recognized by the Longstreth and the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) third team all-American. The senior was also named The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Player of the Year for her efforts.
She finished the year with 23 goals, including all three of the Nor'easters' scores in UNE's 3-2 overtime victory against Plymouth State University in the ECAC New England Championship title game.
Flagg added 10 assists on the season to total 56 points. Her goal and point totals shattered her own single-season records from 2008.
The Livermore Falls, Maine native completed her career as the program's leader in goals scored (51), assists (22) and total points (124).
