Head Coach Doug Biggs and the Nor'easters are off to their best start in 15 years at 13-1
BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England has been ranked 11th in the New England region by the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Committee, in the first release of regional rankings which include games through October 19. NCAA Assistant Director of Championships Donnie Wagner made the announcement this afternoon.
The NCAA ranks 15 percent of the teams in each of its eight geographic regions. In the New England region, 12 teams out of 76 are ranked by the NCAA committee.
Winners of nine consecutive games following last night's victory over Roger Williams University, the Nor'easters (13-1) are off to their best start since 1994, when they notched 19 in-a-row to start the season. This is the first time in program history that UNE has been ranked in the region.
