BIDDEFORD, Maine -- In the Commonwealth Coast Conference weekly report released this afternoon (Oct. 19), University of New England field hockey players Brianna Tupper and Ginny Lee were selected TCCC Offensive Player of the Week and TCCC Defensive Player of the Week, respectively.

Tupper, a sophomore forward from Winthrop, Maine, tallied three goals and one assist as the Nor'easters swept a pair of games. She scored a second-half goal in a 2-0 win at UMaine Farmington, then had two goals and one assist to help lead the Nor'easters to a 7-2 win over Nichols College, which was previously unbeaten in TCCC play.

Lee, a senior back from York, Maine, anchored a UNE defense that shut out UMaine Farmington and held a high-scoring Nichols offense to a pair of second-half goals. Lee registered a defensive save at UMF, and also made several other key plays to help preserve the shutout. Prior to allowing two goals in the second half to Nichols, the Nor'easters had gone 340 consecutive minutes without surrendering a goal.
