WATERVILLE, Maine -- Host Colby College took the top three spots to capture the 2009 Maine State Meet held Saturday. The Mules' Katrina Gravel was the individual champion with a five-kilometer time of 18:59.

Sophomore Jess Partlow placed 20th for the Nor'easters, who finished sixth in a field of eight squads. Partlow circled the course in a time of 20:20.

UNE's other scoring runners included junior Mary Fehlner (51st - 21:43), first-year Kim Martins (53rd - 21:44), first-year Jen Sweigert (57th - 21:50), and first-year Kaitlin Noyes (65th - 22:03).

The Nor'easters will compete in The Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship Oct. 31 -- hosted by Western New England College -- at noon.
