BIDDEFORD, Maine -- University of New England lacrosse players Ashley MacDonald '08 (Billerica, Mass.)  and Brittany Stratton '09 (Bradford, N.H.) have been named all-The Commonwealth Coast Conference in voting done by the league's 11 head coaches.  TCCC Commissioner Gregg Kaye made the official announcement this afternoon.

MacDonald, a midfielder, was voted to the second team after leading the Nor'easters with 62 goals and 22 assists for a total of 84 points.  In the current TCCC statistical leaders, she is fifth in goals per game (3.33), eighth in assists per game (1.17) and fifth in points per game (4.50).  MacDonald is the Nor'easters' career leader in goals scored (170), assists (79) and total points (249).  She is a three-time all-conference selection.

An honorable mention all-conference pick as a defender, Stratton was credited with 41 ground balls, 20 draw controls and 16 caused turnovers.  Her 41 ground balls ranked her third on the team in that category.
