BIDDEFORD, Maine -- University of New England women's lacrosse player Ashley MacDonald '08 (Billerica, Mass.) has been chosen The Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week for the period ending April 27.  TCCC Commissioner Gregg Kaye made the announcement this afternoon.

MacDonald, a midfielder, scored 11 goals and dished out four assists as the Nor'easters went 2-0 for the week.  She matched a school single-game record when she scored eight times Saturday in a win over Nichols College.  MacDonald recorded 11 total points in that game, one shy of her own school record.

MacDonald was also chosen Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England co-Player of the Week.
