Lax-4-Life (Oct. 20, 2007)
Girls Basketball Clinic (Jan. 9, 2007)
City of Biddeford Clean-Up (Nov. 4, 2006)
CHAMPS/Life Skills Program
Overseen by staff member Julie Redman, UNE's CHAMPS/Life Skills program (in conjunction with the NCAA) serves to support the student-athlete development initiatives and to enhance the quality of the student-athlete experience within the context of higher education.
UNE's CHAMPS/Life Skills program plays an integral role in UNE's Student-Athlete Orientation, as well as to help coordinate guest speakers concerning topics such as alcohol abuse, sportsmanship and hazing.
Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC)
UNE's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) serves to promote and protect the student-athletes, raise social and community awareness both on and off campus, and create an environment beneficial to the student-athlete.
National Student-Athlete Day
On April 27, 2007 the University of New England recognized its outstanding student-athletes with a ceremony held in Decary Hall.
